Why variants appear disconnected when inside a component?

When setting up conversion events or variants within a component, Optibase may not display the connection status accurately. This happens because the extension only recognizes one layer deep within components, so when you exit the component using “esc,” it may appear that the connection is lost. However, rest assured that the connected data attributes are indeed in place and will function correctly on your published site.

To connect the elements, you’ll need to be inside the component itself. The Optibase extension will then display as disconnected once you exit, but this is only a visual limitation within the editor. Your setup will work as expected when live.
