# Does a URL Split Test Work with UTM Parameters?

Yes, the test will still fire even if UTM parameters are present. Search parameters like ?utm\_medium=paid-social are ignored when determining if the visitor is included in the test. If a redirect occurs as part of the test, the search parameters will be appended to the new redirected URL.
