IP Collecting
The IP Collecting setting allows you to store the IP address of each tested user to improve tracking accuracy, enable geo-location insights, and enhance debugging during test analysis.
How it works
When enabled, Optibase stores the IP address of each user who participates in a test.
Collected IPs are viewable in the Events screen of the app.
This feature helps with:
More accurate location-based testing
Debugging and isolating unusual traffic
Enhanced filtering and segmentation of data
How to enable
Go to Workspace Settings
Click IP Collecting from the menu
Toggle the Collect IP addresses option on or off
You can turn this feature off at any time by unchecking the toggle.
Privacy Note
Be mindful of data privacy regulations (like GDPR) when enabling IP tracking. If you’re unsure, consult your legal team to confirm compliance based on your region or audience.
