Create a Split Variant
Split Variants are used in URL-based Split Tests to compare entirely different Webflow pages. Each variant is a standalone page, and Optibase randomly sends users to one of them to measure which performs better.

How Split Tests work
The first variant you create is the Entry Variant.
When a user lands on this page, Optibase decides whether to:
Keep them on that page
Or redirect them to another variant
If a user lands directly on a non-entry variant (e.g. via a paid ad), they will not be redirected, but the visit and conversions will still be tracked.
How to create a Split Variant
Open the Optibase Webflow App inside the Webflow Designer
Go to your existing Split Test
Click Add Variant
Enter a name and select the Webflow page that will act as the variant
Click Create
Your selected page will now be treated as a variant in the Split Test.
Do I need to connect anything?
No. Split Variants do not require you to connect elements or add attributes.
As long as the Optibase custom script is installed on the site, the platform will:
Detect the page path
Apply test logic
Track views and conversions
After setup
After creating the Entry Variant, make sure to:
Add at least one more variant to compare
Set the test status to Active to begin running
Variant actions
For each Split Variant, you can:
Rename the variant
Change the associated Webflow page
Reset conversion and page view data
Delete the variant
Note: You cannot currently pause or disconnect a Split Variant without deleting it. This functionality is coming soon.
